Cloud Computing - Why IT Matters
Simon Wardley of Canonical Inc, the main sponsor of Ubuntu, recently gave the following talk at OSCON 2009.
In the talk, Simon suggests that it is not just about the technology but a consequence of change in multiple factors - concept, suitability, attitude and technology that is driving cloud computing.
Simon's cloud computing definition - "Cloud computing is a generic term used to describe the disruptive transformation in I.T. towards a service based economy driven by a set of economic, cultural and technological conditions.".
Well worth the time to watch.
